Rail Vehicle and
Component Sourcing |
| |
| |
| Over 30 years in
locomotive engineering around the world has provided an understanding
of railway operations and railway authorities in many places
and a network of international contacts. |
| |
| |
Railcraft has seen
a growing industry for recycling and often refurbishing locomotives
and rolling stock that are surplus to one operator but valuable
to another. Developing or expanding railways in particular often
need alternative types of vehicles or simply more vehicles to
meet customer demands and purchasing second hand stock in good
running order can provide a very cost-effective solution if
reliable vehicles of right type can be found. |
| |
| |
| Whilst not considered
a core function of the business, Railcraft has nonetheless been
very successful in sourcing vehicles for overseas clients, including
narrow gauge container, drop-side and louvered wagons and heavy
freight locomotives. |
| |
| |
With established
partners in several countries Railcraft can locate specified
vehicles and if required, arrange rehabilitation, re-engineering
e.g. re-powering, traction equipment, slip and slide control,
as well as inspection, shipping and finance. |
