  Railcraft Associates Ltd produced a full set of service manuals in order to demonstrate that the fleet was being maintained correctly to the owner. The manuals consisted of:

  Each Condensed Service manual contained:  
 
  • Health and Safety section outlining hazards associated with rail vehicle operation and maintenance in the customers context.
 
 
  • A description of the vehicle including overall dimensions, weights, arrangement drawings and photographs.
 
 
  • A diagram of the vehicle showing maintenance points in conjunction with a planned preventative maintenance chart, illustrated with digital photographs, listing and describing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, yearly, 5 yearly etc inspection and maintenance requirements.
 
 
  • A consumables section listing customer specific manufacturer's recommended oils, greases, antifreeze/ inhibiting chemicals, filters and other routine maintenance consumables including hazard data sheets as appropriate.
 
 
  • A contingency maintenance section with first aid advice on action to be taken in the event of accidental damage from minor paint scrapes to major derailment damage.
