Railcraft has been providing innovative solutions to engineering problems since the 1980's. Director Roger Burnley leads a team of highly skilled designers and engineers with specialist skills in locomotive systems - structure, traction, diesel-hydraulic, diesel-electric, air, brake, electrical - together with engineers specialising in mechanical design, materials, computer aided design, engineering (CAD/CAE) and dynamics, experimental stress analysis, fluid dynamics and human factors in engineering. The company has made a significant investment in the latest software and hardware in order to maintain an edge in the field of 3D mechanical design and modeling and utilises a continuous virtual prototyping system in order to reduce costs and minimise the time between concept and reality.
